My mom and Ken already had a trip to Florida planned so unfortunately we were not able to spend too much time with them since they left on Thursday. We were lucky to have Wednesday to spend with them so we all got together at Kris and Korie's house for dinner. Thursday was a nice relaxing day... which is unheard of for us when we visit home.... We took the boys to the lake front and let Kayden burn off some of that energy he was storing from the long trip. Then we had lunch at Slickers and then it was nap time! We meet up with Luke's dad and Deb, Kirk, Meagan and Cole and Kris and Korie for dinner at the Red Dog that evening. Friday morning we decided to take the boys up to McCauley Mountain. We had such a beautiful morning and it was nice to be able to hike down the mountain and get some great pictures. Friday night was the alumni soccer game. I am happy to report that there were no injuries.... A few sore muscles but that is to be expected since we are old now. Kris, Korie, Luke and I played in the game. It was pretty entertaining to say the least. Saturday was another beautiful day in the Adirondacks! Our nephew Cole was blessed at their boat house and it was such a nice ceremony. We finally got to meet Meagan's family and enjoyed spending time with everyone. At this point Kayden hasn't napped very well since we arrived and had barely eaten anything... so we headed back to Kris's house to lay Kayden down before heading to the 10 year class reunion. Kayden was so tired we decided to leave him there and let him sleep and Kris was going to bring him down when he woke up. So Luke, Chase and I headed to the soccer field to hang out with old friends. Needless to say we were there for 3 hours and Kayden never showed up. He was exhausted and when he woke up he ate like a champ. Luke and I brought the kids to Dave and Deb's house for the night so we could go to the TOW Bar for the second half of our reunion. It was so nice to see people that we had lost touch with. The evening was a lot of fun and the boys were great for Grandma and Grandpa. Sunday morning was Chase's turn to get baptized. He was the best baby ever. He never made a beep and stared at the priest the entire time we were there. Afterwards we had a little get together at the Langworthy's house. It was a nice chance to sit and talk to our family and friends. Who knew that in NY in Oct we could eat and socialize outside!!!! We then packed up the car to leave for Luke's moms house in Adams, NY. We stopped to see our friends Rick and Holly and their new baby Caitlyn. She is beautiful and we were glad that we were able to see them even if it was just for a few minutes. We finally arrived at Melinda and Paul's house about 8pm. We spent Monday visiting with Grandma Betty, walking to Melinda's office, and napping. We also got a chance to go and see Luke's step grandfather. It was the first time we had been to his cottage on Lake Ontario in years. He was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and was given 6 months to live. It was great to see him again and extremely sad at the same time. He is a special person and we pray for him everyday. After a great dinner and baths we packed up the car again and headed home. It was another great car ride for both the boys. Chase slept the whole time until 10 minutes from home and Kayden slept for a few hours and was perfect the rest of the time. We got home around 9am and were just so glad to be out of that car. We had a great time and it was wonderful to see so many people. We appreciate all the work that Dave and Deb did for Chase's party and we are so lucky to have such a fantastic group of friends and family. Now it is time to get ready for Kayden's birthday party!!!

Home Again Home Again
Well we made it back from yet another trip home to NY. We ended up leaving at 11:30 pm on Tuesday night. It was a crazy day full of work and more work and then we packed up the car and left for Old Forge. The boys were wonderful on both the long car rides. Chase slept the whole way until we got to Rome. After Rome Chase was done with being strapped down but overall the entire trip was a success.
